Product 2

Equally at home in the studio or in a paddock.

The DINGO's most revolutionary feature, is that it can be used in the studio as a normal mains operated unit, as well as out on location. The modeling light is still low voltage, but the flash recycling is coming straight from the mains. With the added bonus that the internal battery charger will be charging the battery while connected to the mains.
The charger will recharge the battery in about 3 hours. When it is fully charged, it will change over to trickle charge, and the full charge LED will light. This feature, stops the problem of over charging that can happen with other units, therefore increasing the battery life. At the core of the power pack is a lead acid battery which has none of the characteristic "memory" problems inherent in Nicad batteries.

A bar graph battery status indicator gives the photographer information on how much power is still available.

NEW for 2006, We have changed the internal battery to give nearly 50% more power than before.
With the 1200W/s model, you can now expect about 150 full power flashes from one battery charge, a lot more when using the 600W/s model. For the big jobs, an extra battery box can be plugged into the Dingo, to give more than 300 full power shots (for the 1200W/s). Plus, with the included cable the Dingo can be recharged from the car.

The MicroDingo series have all the features of the mains MicroMono`s. These top of the range Portable Monoblocs offer the highest level of control and stability demanded by the latest digital cameras. The advanced circuitry ensures delivery of consistent colour over an extended power range. Power is controlled digitally in 1/10f-stop increments. Additionally, these steps are accurate to better than 1/40th f/stop so you can be sure that light output is constant, flash after flash. They have built in memory which stores user settings when the power is off. The microprocessor is constantly checking important inputs, such as capacitor voltage, and gives a visual and audible alarm if anything goes wrong, before any damage is done.
Now with 7F stop power range for both units.(from 1200 W/s down to a tiny 18W/s )

Look at these great features:

Built in Mains operation: To allow you to shoot all day in the studio without a break to recharge the battery.

Built in Battery Charger

If the Dingo has not been used for 5 Minutes, it will switch itself off, to save battery life. It will wake itself up at the press of any button

The Modeling light can be on for 15, 30, or 60 seconds at a touch of one button.

The battery voltage can be read by pushing the Batt button.

They have a very sensitive slave that works well in high ambient light levels, and can be triggered by most infra-red transmitters.

They have a strobe feature, where a preset number of flashes can be dialled in.

A flash delay or timer function is included.

Automatic bracketing, where the unit will automatically do a centre shot then one .5f-stop above and then .5f-stop below. All at the touch of one button. A 5 step bracket can be set as well. (2 steps above and 2 steps below).

A flash failure alarm sounds if the flash is triggered, but does not flash. Invaluable, if you have just shot 200 school kids, 50Km from base, only to find, when the films are processed, that one of the flash units had not fired.

Further evidence of our attention to the photographer's real needs is the user replaceable flash tube. As an added benefit for the PS600 users, they are supplied, as standard, with 1200W/s Flash tubes.
